Our JTAC Thunder II Remington 700 Tactical Chassis system offers a combination of improved accuracy, superior ergonomics and specialized design allowing use of AR-15 butt-stocks, grips and automatically converts your rifle to an external box magazine fed rifle.

Due to the modular nature of the JTAC Thunder Remington 700 Chassis, you have a great deal of flexibility with your new Tactical Chassis System. You do not have to use our butt stock or folder if you choose to use AR Style Butt Stocks. It is as simple as removing the folder and butt stock, and installing the optional AR Butt Stock Adapter, and screwing in an AR Butt Stock. If you want a lighter version of our system, choose the key-mod rail system instead of the full picatinny rail system at checkout.

Remington 700 6.5 Creedmoor Custom Built Rifles

JMS Tactical can build you a custom Remington 700 6.5 Creedmoor chambered rifle. Our Precision Rifles are all guaranteed to shoot SUB MOA (using match grade ammo), and will exceed your shooting abilities hands down! The heart of our system is a blueprinted and trued Remington 700 Action. Barrels of choice are Wilson, Shilin, Bartline, or Kreiger, and our machine shop is capable of reproducing machining accuracy to 1/10000 of an inch. Your new Remington 700 6.5 Creedmoor rifle will quickly become your “go to” gun.

6.5mm Light Varmint 1-8 Twist Barrel

Our standard build uses match grade 6.5mm Light Varmint 1-8 twist barrel blanks. Chambering is done to the strictest standards. We guarantee proper headspace and barrel indexing. Our crowns are 11 Degree match, and optional muzzle threading is done to industry standards. If you opt to have us thread the muzzle, we will supply either a thread protector, or you may choose to have us custom build you a zero line muzzle brake. After assembly, we will bead blast the barrel to a satin finish.

A Remington 700 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor has not been produced by Remington Arms although the 6.5 Creedmoor is rapidly becoming the round of choice for competitive shooters. The F-Class shooting community has rapidly embraced the 6.5 creedmoor because of it’s flat trajectory.

In times past, the 308 was the preferred round for match shooters, but it’s performance is dwarfed by that of the 6.5 creedmoor, and furthermore, the 6BR is a round that is beginning to get lots of traction in the 700 yard and above circles. We are also working with the 6BR, but if you are just getting into either F-Class, or just want to improve your 600 yard performance while reducing recoil, the 6.5 creedmoor is by far the best choice. Reloading is also extremely cost effective for the 6.5 while other rounds continue to be more expensive.
